FCL (Full Container Load) means you book a whole container for your cargo only. LCL (Less than Container Load) means your cargo shares a container with other shippers and you pay for the cubic metres you use. LCL is usually more economical below roughly 13 to 15 m³, and FCL becomes better value above that. Use our CBM calculator to check.

Typically a commercial invoice, a packing list and the bill of lading or air waybill. Depending on the cargo and destination you may also need a certificate of origin, import licences, dangerous goods declarations or other certificates. We check the list for your specific shipment before departure.
Air freight is billed on the chargeable weight, which is the greater of the actual gross weight and the volumetric weight. Volumetric weight is usually length × width × height in cm divided by 6000. Our chargeable weight calculator works it out for you.
